Charlie Cox returns to Netflix: what we know about Treason, so far

Charlie Cox returns to Netflix in Treason, a limited series you may see, sometime in the near future, as you’ll learn from the following.

Cox also reprised his role as Matt Murdock in last year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, then went on to appear in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and will soon make a “trip” to Disney+ for Daredevil: Born Again.

But before returning to Marvel’s “court,” Charlie Cox will star in Netflix’s limited series Treason, which will have six episodes and debut December 26. The series comes from Bridge of Spies writer Matt Charman.

What Treason will be about

Treason will focus on Adam Lawrence (played by Cox), an MI6 agent, and Kara, a Russian spy with whom Adam shares a complicated past.

Kara’s reappearance makes Adam question everything, building a triangle relationship between Kara, Adam and Adam’s wife Maddy.

The series, directed by Louise Hooper, also casts Oona Chaplin (best known for her role as Talisa Stark on Game of Thrones) as Maddy, while Black Widow’s Olga Kurylenko will play Kara, and Ciarán Hinds, Tracy Ifeachor, Avital Lvova, Alexandra Guelff, Brian Law and Adam James round out the cast.

Obviously, Cox fans who already have an active Netflix account will enjoy seeing the actor back on the platform.

Although not related to the winter holidays, Treason will run right around that time on Netflix, as mentioned above. After all, if Die Hard succeeded in becoming a Christmas movie, Treason has a real chance of doing so.

It remains to be seen if the limited series will live up to expectations. To find out, keep an eye on Netflix on Christmas Day.
