BMW has created a set of smart glasses for motorcyclists. Known as the BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses, these connect to your smartphone and a dedicated app via Bluetooth and can then provide a heads-up display on the lens of the glasses so you know where to go, your speed, current gear and more.
The glasses are also said to have a lithium-ion battery that should offer 10 hours of use on a single charge. To add to this, the lenses are made of UVA or UVB protective material, meaning they also work to protect your eyes from UV rays, with one pair even having tinted lenses, meaning they can also act as sunglasses.
The catch with a device like this is that they are not particularly cheap at the moment. The glasses would retail for €690 when they debut in the future.
