The tournament organizer, BLASThas taken its first step into the mobile e-sports scene by announcing BLAST Bash, an online event. It will feature three video games from developer Supercell: Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars.
As part of the event, three different competitions will take place next month. These are BLAST Brawl 2024 (October 10-11), BLAST Royale 2024 (October 12-13) and BLAST Clash 2024 (October 12-13). Winners of BLAST Clash and BLAST Royale will receive $15,000. In BLAST Brawl, the winner of each region will receive $15,000.
BLAST Brawl will feature open heats for teams of Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and North America (NA).and the top teams from each region will advance to an individual eight-team playoff.
BLAST Royale will feature eight guest teams to a double elimination tournamentwhile BLAST Clash will have open qualifiers before the final eight teams. compete in a single elimination bracket.
This announcement from BLAST follows the company’s trend of participating in a greater number of esports circuits. BLAST has revamped its CS2 circuit and expanded into Dota 2, Fortnite, Rocket League and TopSpin 2K25; however, this is the company’s first step into mobile esports.
Although Supercell’s eSports is more specific than other BLAST tracks, such as Rainbow Six Siege or Counter-Strike, the developer has hosted several esports events before. The Brawl Stars World Finals have been an annual event since 2019, with the 2024 edition taking place in Helsinki, Finland, this November.
