Bitcoin marketplace Paxful is back in business

Paxfula P2P bitcoin exchange platform, a reopened its doors after a temporary closure of a duration of approximately 1 month.

Early April, Paxful was suspending operations due to employee departures and regulatory pressure. Last night, the company announced the return of its services.

After a month of absence, we are happy to announce that the Paxful marketplace is back online […] Over the past month, our team has been working diligently to bring the marketplace back online with the safety and security of users,” the exchange wrote.

While the platform provides few details, it appears that the platform was shut down as a result of a conflict between its co-founders Artur Schaback and Ray Youssef.

On Coindesk, Schaback stated that Youssef had taken steps to shut down Paxful.” His plan has been going on for almost 15 months, but through our civil proceedings in the U.S., it was discovered and foiled,” he said, noting that his associate had been fired for “incompetence and bad behavior”.

Ray Youssef promotes today on his side a new platform named Civilization Kit.
