Although it seemed for a while that Baldur’s Gate 3 might not be available for the Xbox Series X/S until next year, Larian Studios has recently confirmed that the acclaimed RPG will indeed be coming to the Xbox in 2023, with split-screen co-op not supported on the Xbox Series S. The studio also confirmed that the Xbox version of the game will offer cross-save support with the PC, although Michael Douse, the director of publishing at Larian Studios, has since clarified that this will not be all.
On Twitter, Douse confirmed that the Xbox version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will also have cross-save compatibility with the PS5 version, in addition to the PC version. Thanks to the Larian account system, a save file on one platform will be compatible on all platforms, although of course you will have to create a Larian account.
Larian Studios also recently released the first major patch for Baldur’s Gate 3, with more than 1,000 fixes and improvements for the game. Read more about it through the appropriate channels.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently only available on PC. The PS5 version will launch on September 6.
