Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 may be coming to Xbox Game Pass – That’s Gaming

Microsoft appears to have inadvertently revealed that Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition and Baldur’s Gate 2 Enhanced Edition will be coming to Xbox Game Pass. According to TrueAchievements, notifications about the games coming to Game Pass were sent to subscribers with the Xbox Game Pass app on their smartphones.

“Rediscover two RPG classics,” the notification reads. “Customize your hero, recruit brave allies and explore mystical realms in your quest for adventure, profit … and truth. Play Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 with Game Pass.”

The notification appears to be a mistake, however, as the games are not on the list of titles scheduled to come to PC and Xbox Game Pass in January. On the other hand, there is a chance they will be included in the subscription service’s Wave 2 lineup later in the month.

It is worth noting for those who might be interested in replaying the classic RPGs that, although the first two Baldur’s Gate titles are still excellent games with fantastic stories, they are not as strongly connected to Baldur’s Gate 3 as the franchise name would suggest.
