At least one person has died and seven others have been injured this Sunday after a shooting during a War Memorial Day festival in Oklahoma, United States.
The deceased is a 39-year-old woman and the seven injured, aged between nine and 56, have a moderate prognosis. A nine-year-old minor is among the injured, according to the authorities, as reported by ‘ABC News’.
Around 1,500 people were at the festival in Taft, Oklahoma, about 45 kilometers southeast of Tulsa, when the shooting occurred, according to a statement from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Witnesses have assured investigators that the shots were fired after an argument.
The main suspect, Skyler Buckner, 26, turned himself in at the Muskogee County Police Office at 4:05 p.m. (local time) this Sunday.
