Ahead of the Galaxy S23 launch on February 1, an event that at the moment has not been officially confirmed, Samsung appears to be preparing yet another smartphone launch. Samsung India’s website has confirmed that on January 18, the company is preparing another launch, where another phone, most likely from the mid-range range, is expected. Although this event will take place in India, the phone is likely to hit stores worldwide simultaneously.
Samsung could launch the Galaxy A34 and A54 in India
The Indian site suggests, however, that the upcoming phone will offer a 6.6″ screen at 120Hz, which could mean the Galaxy A34, a lower mid-range model. The rumour mill says that one should be equipped with a 90 Hz screen. However, there’s a chance we’ll also see at the event perhaps the most anticipated phone for those on a budget: the Galaxy A54.
Previous models like the A52 and A53 have proven they can offer pretty much everything you need from a smartphone, priced at under €400. These models come with powerful camera systems, good battery life, fast charging and even water resistance, along with quality screens.
Processor performance has previously been the only drawback, but this could be solved in 2023. The Galaxy A54 would also feature a 6.4″ display with Full HD+ resolution at 120 Hz on an OLED panel, use 8 GB of RAM and be based on a new Exynos processor, the 1380 model.
Either way, whether we’ll see just the Galaxy A34, or the A34 and A54 together, Samsung’s India site reveals the colors they’ll be available in: Awesome Black, Awesome Burgundy and Awesome Green. Given the names, we can assume they’re a continuation of last year’s shades. Those used a hard plastic, matte-textured phone back cover. We’ve already seen the new design direction of the new Galaxy A models on the A14 5G, announced last week at CES 2023. Most likely, the new upper Galaxy A models will also be similar in design.
