On Wednesday evening, Taiko Labs announced the opening of phase 1 of its Genesis airdrop season with the release of 5% of its TKO native token offer.

Check your eligibility now if you’re a Taiko proposer, prover, bridgooor, user (Galxe points included), developer, GitHub contributor or community member. Although these are the user categories included, activities are weighted and associated with a score. If you reach a minimum score based on your activities and contributions, you will be eligible,” L2 wrote on X.

TKO’s offer is 1 billion tokens. Some Ethereum ICO participants are also eligible. Tokens will be distributed at the upcoming launch of the network’s mainnet.

Founded in 2022 in Hong Kong, Taiko Labs is developing a layer 2 ZK-EVM type 1 aimed at offering maximum compatibility with Ethereum. The ambition: to provide developers with an experience comparable to that on the ETH blockchain.
