A new Dove ad targets oversexualized women in games -.

What’s that? Another storm of “controversy” swirling around the idea that women could wear more clothes while gaming and not have back-breaking proportions? How dare they?

Jokes aside, a new Dove ad has caused quite a bit of backlash from the gaming community after it shows a female video game character defeating a monster before returning to her dressing room where she reveals her true appearance.

The ad then shows the statistic that 74% of girls feel underrepresented in video games. However, there has been much backlash from those who believe that Dove is trying to take away their attractive gaming females. There are also those who believe a double standard is taking place, as many men in video games remain as muscular hunks.
