Toronto Ultra is rebranded as Toronto KOI

OverActive Media has changed the name of its Call of Duty League (CDL) franchise from Toronto Ultra to. Toronto KOI. This move is part of the esports company’s goal to align its portfolio under a single platform.

The rebranding to Toronto KOI aligns the franchise with Movistar KOI and OverActive Media’s KOI esports team, which currently competes in League of Legends and other titles. As a result of Toronto’s rebranding, the 2026 CDL season will be the first in which none of the original inaugural season names will be present.

To be KOI is to belong. Bringing this illustrious brand to the Call of Duty League and Toronto will benefit everyone – our fans, our players, our partners and the eSports ecosystem at large. We are creating a single, unified brand platform that spans across all regions and offers lasting value for all.

To celebrate the rebranding, the franchise hosted a launch party on October 23, 2025, where it unveiled the 2026 jersey that its squad will wear during the upcoming season. In addition, OverActive Media announced that its first merchandising collection will be available in December.
