The Directorate Novitiate reveals dark trailer full of magic, murder and betrayal for on PC – That’s Gaming

What if you are just a daughter and friend by day, but an assassin in the service of a magical crime syndicate by night? In Directorate Novitiate, the new action RPG from Nesting Games, that is exactly the reality of main character Kana Luna, also known as Mercury in the shadows.

A brand new trailer was launched today in which we are introduced for the first time to Kana’s ambiguous life in the mysterious, magical Los Angeles of 2006. With a stylish noir jacket and undertones of sadness and betrayal, the trailer previews the choices and conflicts that await players.

Mercury is caught between two worlds: her normal life and the supernatural underworld of the Directorate. As the mysterious Constellation Killer creeps closer, she finds herself caught in a deadly game of betrayal, loss and boundless rage. Trust is dangerous – love even fatal.

What makes this game unique? Directorate Novitiate combines third-person action with in-depth choices and relationships. Players form their own version of Mercury, with every decision affecting who she becomes – and who she loses. Battles are cinematic and intense, but it’s mostly the story that lingers: nothing is what it seems, no one can be trusted.

The game will appear in Early Access this summer.
