Soon you will be able to 3D print parts of Philips razors -.

Philips has come up with a really great idea that will benefit everyone who uses its various razors and products. The healthcare company has announced a partnership with Prusa Research, LePub and Printables, a collaboration in which parts and plans for its devices will be shared online, allowing users with 3D printers to easily print and create their own replacement parts.

Currently, the collaboration is still in its infancy and users can only print a replacement comb for the One Blade, but the range will continue to expand and become known as Fixables.

The Fixables range is shown in the handy video below, which is no doubt a good start to enabling people to replace small and otherwise hard-to-get parts, but has its caveats. The quality of printed parts depends on the quality of the materials used in the printing process, which will vary since 3D printers are not at all commonplace yet. But if you can find somewhere or someone who will let you use their system, you will soon be able to replace parts for your Philips devices.
