All teams to participate in IEM Dallas confirmed

The 16 teams qualified for the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Dallas 2025 have been confirmed after the last European qualification match between HEROIC and Astralis, which HEROIC has become the last qualified team. The $300,000 Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) competition will take place from May 19-25.

IEM Dallas is the third international tournament of the 2025 CS2 competitive season. The event, which will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention CenterThe event follows IEM Katowice, which was won by Team Vitality, and IEM Melbourne, which will take place in April. The full list of teams invited to IEM Melbourne was confirmed earlier this month.

Teams could secure a spot at IEM Dallas through Valve’s new VRS qualification system and regional qualifiers. As of February 3, eight teams had qualified based on their regional VRS scores. However, VRS leader Team Spirit and top-ranked NAVI will not be attending IEM Dallas.

• HEROIC (5th European classified)
• NRG (1st classified in NA)
• Legacy (1st ranked in South America)
• Lynn Vision Gaming (ranked 1st in Asia)

IEM Dallas Qualifiers

Aside from the invited teams, organizations had to first go through regional qualifiers based on their ranking in the VRS. In addition, the Open Qualifiers gave smaller organizations the opportunity to compete in the IEM Qualifiers against higher ranked teams within their region.

In the European Qualifiers, the top five out of a total of 16 rosters advanced to IEM Dallas. The North American, South American and Asian qualifiers had four teams each, and only offered qualification to their respective winners.

In addition to the regional VRS rankings, Valve also ranks CS2 teams on a global VRS leaderboard. As of February 3, Team Spirit, G2 Esports, TheMongolZ, Vitality and FaZe make up the top 5 in all regions of the game.
