The Nintendo Switch 2 has been announced! – That’s Gaming

It was to be expected, as there have been rumors of a Nintendo Switch 2 for weeks, sometimes even with pictures. Today, however, Nintendo revealed the Nintendo Switch 2 on its own YouTube channel. The design is slightly larger than the original Switch and so are the Joy-Cons. Furthermore, we know that games from the Switch will be backwards comptabile with the Switch 2, though with some exceptions. Nintendo indicates that they will specify which games these are at a later date.

Furthermore, Nintendo indicates that a Nintendo Direct is coming up about the Switch 2, though not until April 2, 2025. So that’s a while away, but at least we have the first images!
