Developer Rebel Wolves reveals more details about RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker

Developer Rebel Wolves has shared more information on social media platform X about their upcoming RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker. In the post, the studio introduces the main character, Coen, and gives more insight into his backstory.

Coen had a difficult childhood, working in a silver mine. However, he dreamed of adventure and longed to travel away from his duties and obligations. Although he could not realize this during his mortal life, he eventually gained vampire powers, which he used to free himself from the constraints of his life.

Freedom within a time limit

In addition to details about Coen, the studio also revealed that, although the “30 days and 30 nights” time limit will be an important part of the game, it will not limit the player’s freedom.

When asked if the time limit would limit exploration, the studio replied:
“No, it does not,” said Rebel Wolves. “The game itself has no hard time limit and does not require you to rush.”

Although the studio did not explain exactly how the time limit works, it seems that it plays a narrative role rather than a strictly gameplay limiting factor.

Vampires and the setting

The Blood of Dawnwalker was officially announced earlier this week with a trailer. The game appears to be set in the 14th century, with images of the Carpathians in the trailer. Vampires play a central role in the game, especially since the main character himself will be a vampire of sorts.

Development and platforms

The Blood of Dawnwalker is being developed by a team of experienced developers who previously worked at CD Projekt RED have been working on. The game will be published by Bandai Namco and comes out on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
