Billionaire takes world’s first private space walk -.

As space exploration and development becomes increasingly privatized, we are seeing more and more wealthy people getting into the industry. Aside from Elon Musk’s SpaceX, Richard Branson’s Virgin efforts and the things other competitors like Boeing are trying to accomplish, we are also seeing some people using these privatized avenues to dabble in a little cosmic leisure.

Billionaire Jared Isaacman and engineer Sarah Gillis have now completed what has been called the world’s first private spacewalk. The pair entered orbit in a SpaceX spacecraft while wearing specially constructed suits for the task at hand and then floated around in orbit for a short time about 15 minutes apart before returning home to Earth.

Although the walk was the first private walk of its kind, it is also the highest space walk ever, by being held at 435 miles, proving the success of the newly developed EVA suits.

If you had the chance, would you do a spacewalk?

Thanks, BBC News.
