UNIVERSITY Tour arrives to bring esports closer to Spanish university students

The 9th Season of UNIVERSITY Esports is back with a new university tour for all students in Spain. UNIVERSITY Tour will visit different universities in Spain with the aim of bringing the gaming industry closer to the public, to raise awareness of the largest esports competition in the university environment and to get young people to learn about the project and be encouraged to take part in it.

Last season of UNIVERSITY Esports was attended by the 100% of the public universities, consolidating a project that receives the support of brands such as WD_BLACK, WUOLAH and Riot Games. The idea is to promote the involvement of students in the esports sector through the competitionthe training and the employment opportunities of an ever-growing industry, where the creation of new 1,500 job offers in 2022, in which the 40% of employees are under 30 years of age.

Dates for each city

UNIVERSITY Tour will make its first stop in 2024 in Bilbaowith a visit to the University of Deusto the next tuesday, february 27. Then, the university route will be present in the following destinations:

• University of Malaga: Tuesday, March 5.
• University of Almeria: Thursday, March 14.
• University of CordobaWednesday, March 20.
• University of Huelva: for four days, between April 9 and 12.
• Autonomous University of BarcelonaThursday, April 25.

Contents of UNIVERSITY Tour

At each university on the route of UNIVERSITY Tour different areas will be set up to create a dynamic and special space that will allow you to live an experience similar to that of the UNIVERSITY Esports. The environment will feature a VR area, a PS5 with TEKKEN 8, a Cornhole and a VALORANT Masters Madrid area with two aiming challenges (shooting range in VALORANT and a target shooting). In addition, there will be a registration area for students to sign up for the 9th season of the project.
