Grinding Gear Games has revealed the name of the next expansion and Challenge League for Path of Exile – Affliction. It will launch on Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. PST for PC and on Dec. 13 for Xbox and PlayStation. Check out the announcement trailer below, but be warned of the presence of creepy crawlers.
A reveal stream is scheduled for Nov. 30, 12:30 PM PST, showcasing the new content. As usual, studio co-founder and general manager Chris Wilson will participate in a live Q&A session with ZiggyD. He will be joined by programmer and co-founder Jonathan Rogers and Mark Roberts, director of Path of Exile 2.
The teaser doesn’t reveal much, but players can probably expect new rewards, Uniques, balance changes (hopefully more than in previous leagues), a new league mechanic and end-game activity, and further additions to the Atlas. We may also see previous league mechanics added to the Standard League. Stay tuned for more details in the reveal stream.
