Web3 Beoble raises $2M from DCG and Samsung

Beoblea start-up developing a decentralized messaging application and accessible with a crypto wallethas just collected 2 million dollars from Samsung Next and Digital Currency Group.

Founded in 2021 in Singapore, Beoble is building an ecosystem dedicated to Web3 users. The start-up offers a messaging application The application is “end-to-end encrypted” and can be accessed by connecting a crypto wallet.

Messages transit via “Communication Delivery Graph”, a decentralized encryption network, and are stored using protocols such as IFPS and Arweave. Currently in beta, the application also allows participants to earn rewards based on their activity.

On Wednesday, Beoble announced that it had closed a $2 million funding round to “enhance the Web3 social networking user experience” and refine the functionality of its platform.

Its fundraising is backed by two major players in the crypto sector with Digital Currency Group and Hashkey, as well as Samsung Next, the investment arm of the South Korean industrialist.

Beoble also offers DApps a toolbox that makes it easy to add messaging functionality to their service.

Compatible with EVM networks including Ethereum and Polygon, the app will soon support other blockchains including Solana, Aptos and Sui.

This year, several Web3 messaging projects attracted investors. SendingMe raised $12.5 million in February, while Dmail Network closed an undisclosed Series A round in July.
