SAG-AFTRA outlines Halloween rules for striking actors -.

With Halloween just around the corner and no doubt many of you already well into making your costume for whatever parties and events you have planned, SAG-AFTRA, the body that led the actors’ strike in Hollywood, has now issued its guidelines for all actors who also want to get into the spooky spirit.

The document states that to stay in compliance with the strike rules, SAG-AFTRA members should choose costumes inspired by “generalized characters and figures.” such as ghosts, zombies, spiders, and so on.

To add to this, SAG-AFTRA encourages members not to post pictures of costumes inspired by hit content, and that members should generally not dress up as content from a project that is currently being discontinued.

With the strike still well in effect after a recent breakdown in negotiations, we will undoubtedly not see the same array of striking costumes during this year’s haunted season.
