Uncorrected proof copy of first Harry Potter book is expected to sell for more than £20,000 at auction -.

It looks like St Kenelm’s Primary School in Minster Lovell, Witney, Oxfordshire, could be in for a bit of a payday as it has discovered that the shelves of its library are hiding an uncorrected proof copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, written by J.K. Rowling.

According to BBC News, the book was reportedly purchased in 1997 for just £1, and now it could go for more than £20,000 at auction. It is reported that the book is one of only 200 printed copies from 1997.

As for why the school is selling the book, it plans to use the money to help students and purchase new books and updated equipment to be used within the school.
