Rolls-Royce unveils the Amethyst Droptail -.

If you ever had any doubts that Rolls-Royce was the epitome of automotive luxury, the latest car unveiled by the company will try to rectify that. Known as the Amethyst Droptail, this car was commissioned by a customer and was named and inspired by the birthstone of the customer’s son.

The car has a veneer rear deck at the rear described as the largest wooden surface ever produced by Rolls-Royce. To add to this, genuine amethyst gemstones are incorporated into the interior and exterior of the car, while the car is painted in a color that reflects the gemstone.

There is no mention of the specifics of the car, but we do know that it is built on the Droptail archetype and that this is one of the four unique expressions of the model. In terms of pricing, this is not alluded to either, but given its very lucrative nature, we can assume that it is a very expensive vehicle.
