Polestar partners with Candela for hydrofoils -.

Polestar has announced a partnership with Candela to supply the marine vehicle brand with future batteries for its boats. As noted in a press release, we are told that the Swedish electric vehicle manufacturer will supply supply batteries and charging technology as the pair “wants to accelerate the shift to more sustainable electric mobility.”

We will see this collaboration in force in the Candela C-8 Polestar edition, said to be a ” Polestar’s expression of Scandinavian luxury to the marine industry” brings, and will feature a solid gray exterior color matched with light gray accents and interior.

As for what batteries this version of the boat will use, we are told it will be a 69 kWh that promises 57 nautical miles on a single charge, all at a speed of 22 knots. This is claimed to be 2-3 times the range of ” conventional electric speedboats”.

The Candela C-8 Polestar edition is available now and will reportedly retail from €400,000, with deliveries expected to begin in June 2024.
