Deep Silver, Prime Matter, and Ravenscourt Are being merged into PLAION – That’s Gaming

Embracer Group subsidiary PLAION (formerly known as Koch Media until last year) is restructuring its publishing operations, according to a report published by GamesIndustry. As a result of the restructuring, a number of publishing labels will disappear under PLAION.

Specifically, the plan is to merge Deep Silver, Prime Matter and Ravenscourt into PLAION, with the parent company publishing all titles in the future. However, this process will not happen immediately, with the company confirming that it could take up to 12 months, and that the three labels may even continue to release titles for the next few years. According to a PLAION representative, only five or six jobs will be affected.

Of the three labels to be scrapped, Deep Silver is of course the oldest and most prominent, with some great games and franchises under its belt, including Metro, Saints Row, Dead Island, Chivalry, and more.

Prime Matter, on the other hand, was only founded in 2021 and has released titles like Dolmen, The Last Oricru, Scars Above, and The Chant, with System Shock Remake and Payday 3 still in the pipeline. Ravenscourt is best known for recent games such as Road 96 and the Let’s Sing series.
