AXA Investment Managers obtains PSAN registration

AXA Investment Managersthe investment management subsidiary of the French group AXAhas obtained a registration as digital asset service provider (DASP).

Tuesday, AXA Investment Managers has been awarded a PSAN registration with the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) allowing the investment management company to offer, in France, purchase, exchange and custody services ofdigital assetsincluding cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

Two other companies have also yesterday obtained a PSAN registration. Ouro Capitala new crypto platform “designed for investors and their financial advisors” and Optimization Technologies SASthe editor of the service Climb.

The Assembly recently adopted an amendment that rejected the principle of a mandatory approval for crypto players in France. New entrants instead inherit new expectations in exchange for maintaining registration.

Last year, AXA announced that it was acquiring land in The Sandbox. The group specialized in insurance and asset management has since launched a first experiment within the Web3 metaverse.
