The Moto G23 is a low-cost phone intended for budget buyers up to €200 who want a phone with a large screen and generous battery capacity.
With minimal effort on the design side, Motorola ships the Moto G23 in a plastic-finished case with a screen cut out following the contours of the case, perforated at the camera but left with the same “chin” at the bottom characteristic of low-cost phones. Unlike the new Galaxy S series, the Moto G23 doesn’t do away with the camera “island”, which still appears elevated above the translucent finish cover.
The Moto G23 will ship with Helio G85, ime 5000 mAh, a MediaTek chipset made with not-so-new 12nm manufacturing process and no 5G:
- 6.5-inch display, HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio), 90Hz refresh
- MediaTek Helio G85 chipset on 12nm (Dual 2GHz Cortex-A75 + Hexa 2GHz 6x Cortex-A55 CPUs, Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU)
- Memory 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage + microSD
- Android 13 + My UX
- Other features: dual SIM (nano + nano + microSD), 3.5mm audio jack, mono speaker at bottom, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, oleophobic finish
- Cameras: 50MP main + 5MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro, 16MP front camera
- Connectivity: Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS, USB Type-C,
- 5000mAh battery, fast charging to 33W (AC adapter included)
Motorola G23 is expected in the first part of this year, in color versions on Blue, Grey and White, at prices starting at 199 euros.
