Windows 11 will allow audio streaming from Android devices

For example, you’ll be able to listen to your favourite music from your Android phone directly through the audio system connected to your Windows 11 PC, synced via the Phone Link app developed by Microsoft.

Originally known as Your Phone, the Phone Link app now offers the best solution for syncing between Android and Windows 11 devices, allowing users to transfer photos and files from their phone, view notifications and SMS messages, and even access Android apps with minimal effort. Although some of the most attractive features are still offered as exclusives to Samsung device owners, the Your Phone app is certainly useful for the rest of Android users as well.

According to Microsoft, Android users will now be able to “hear and see everything happening on your phone” directly on your PC. In the most mundane scenario, you’ll be able to hear the notification sound triggered by some app on your phone directly through the audio system of the PC you’re working on. But even more convenient might be how you’ll be able to listen to the sound played back from any app, from dedicated audio streaming services like YouTube Music, to messaging apps from which you’d like to hear your incoming message in audio form.
