Asus ROG Phone 6D, ready with Dimensity 9000+ chipset, listed in AnTuTu catalog

Launched last month in Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 trim, the ROG Phone 6 is about to get a MediaTek chipset version as well, with the ROG Phone 6D coming with Dimensity 9000+ and performance comparable to the Qualcomm implementation.

Most likely destined for Asian markets, the Asus ROG Phone 6D has already appeared in the AnTuTu catalog with a score of 1,146,594 points, indicating 2-3% higher performance than the ROG Phone 6 Pro version already available to European buyers.

Interestingly, the overall score is heavily influenced by the CPU score and less by the GPU side score, with the ROG Phone 6D scoring over 290,000 CPU points, about 15% higher than any other Android phone tested so far with AnTuTu. However, such a big performance jump seems slightly suspicious, and could be a case of the MediaTek chipset over-shooting and not fully reflecting the level of performance that will be achieved in normal use.

For now ASUS is not offering any other details about the new ROG Phone model, but we can expect it to come with the same 65W fast-charging speed, i.e. the AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate, also found on Qualcomm equipment. The camera setup has a 50MP camera as its centerpiece, seconded by the ultra-wide 13MP camera and a 5MP macro camera. Both the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro feature 12MP front-facing cameras. The main difference between the two is the memory arrangement, with the “standard” version starting with 256GB internal storage and 8GB or 12GB RAM.
