The loss of piracy crypto exchange CoinEx finally overtakes 70 million dollars. A majority ofETH, TRON and XRP have been stolen by the hackers.

Attacked earlier this week, CoinExa Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency exchange platform founded in 2017, has finally lost over $50 millionreported several on-chain investigators following a update published yesterday by the company on the subject.
According to Peckshield, the hackers stole 17 million dollars worth of Ethereum (ETH), 11 million in Tron (TRX) and $6 million in XRP, BTC and BNB.
SOL, BCH, XLM and ARB, in more limited quantities, have also left the platform’s wallets. The total loss amounts to around 54 million dollars.

According to ZachXBT, Lazarus Groupa notorious gang of North Korean hackers held responsible for numerous hacks in the crypto space, is undoubtedly behind the CoinEx attack.
It appears that North Korea was also responsible for yesterday’s $54 million CoinEx hack after accidentally connecting its address to the hack.” he tweeted.
Rarer than in DeFi, the crypto exchange hacks centralized are, however, often more significant in terms of financial loss. Among the most recent is Bitrue’s $23 million loss in the spring.
