Aug. 7 () –
Palestinian authorities reported Sunday that the latest attacks by the Israeli army have increased the death toll to 29 dead and 215 wounded.
“Citizens, medical personnel and rescue teams pulled, early this morning, the bodies of eight martyrs, including a child — aged 14 — and two women, from under the rubble of a house in the town of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip,” Palestinian news agency Wafa has reported.
The house was destroyed by Israeli fighter jets, which wounded about forty civilians, who were taken to health centers for treatment.
In addition, the bombardment has damaged neighboring homes and caused material losses to citizens who lost their property.
With this balance, the operation ‘Dawn’ which started this Friday has caused in less than three days the death of more than thirty people, including six children. Among the more than 200 wounded there are 96 children, 30 women and 12 elderly people, according to the agency.
