18-year-old Palestinian killed by Israeli forces during series of riots in the West Bank

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported Wednesday that an 18-year-old teenager has died at the hands of Israeli forces during a series of riots in the West Bank.

Several Palestinian media outlets have identified the young man as Osama Mahmud Adawi, who died following clashes in Al Arub refugee camp.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) closed roads in and out of the West Bank city of Nablus just a day after a serviceman was killed after being shot near a settlement near the area, where there has been an increase in violence.

“The IDF has increased security in the vicinity of Nablus, and has therefore decided to block the roads leading in and out of the city,” Israeli forces said in a statement.

On the other hand, throughout the day, riots have also been reported in the Old City of Jerusalem, where an Israeli teenager has been slightly injured after being stoned, according to information from the daily ‘Times of Israel’. Medical sources said that the young man was taken to a local hospital.
