The WRC license has now passed from KT Racing and Nacon to Codemasters and EA, and the latter’s first entry in the rally racing series is expected to be released this year. Previous leaks have suggested that the game will be announced soon, and now prominent leaker @billbil_kun has revealed on Twitter possibly the game’s specific release date.
According to the leaker, the game will officially be titled WRC 23 and is expected to be released on July 28, just over two months from now. There is no mention of what platforms the game will be available for, but given that Codemasters and EA’s upcoming F1 23 game will be a cross-gen title, it is likely that WRC will be as well.
Either way, it seems safe to assume that an official announcement for the racing sim will happen soon. Back in March, @billbil_kun claimed that the game was “ready to launch” and would soon be revealed “very soon.”
