Riot Games has announced that Wild Rift will include content celebrating the history of League of Legends esports. The new content and rewards will be offered during League of Legends Worlds 2025, which will be held in China later this year.
Aside from announcing that in-game content will be coming to the mobile title, few details were revealed. However, Riot Games added that the Wild Rift development team “wanted to do something very special” to celebrate with League of Legends players and fans.
The Wild Rift team has enjoyed watching all the high-level matches during the 2025 season. Over the years, our development team has been inspired by watching all-time greats like Faker, Showmaker, Uzi, Deft and many more compete.

More information about the game’s content and rewards will be revealed this fall. Interestingly, this won’t be the first time in recent times that Wild Rift has used the connection to its PC variant. In April 2025, League of Legends esports legend Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok collaborated with Wild Rift to teach new players how to use Ryze.
