Fixing yet another problem for very active users, WhatsApp will now treat calls you didn’t answer differently from those you missed because you had DND (Do Not Disturb) set.
Recognizing the difference between calls you didn’t answer for various reasons and those you intentionally blocked by checking the DND setting, WhatsApp is preparing a feature that will separately inform users about missed calls while using Do Not Disturb.
The idea is that, especially for very active WhatsApp users, important calls coming in at times when you simply can’t answer could end up getting lost among many other ignored calls the rest of the time. Thus, automatically blocked calls in the app will be clearly differentiated from the rest of the missed calls, eliminating any source of confusion.
For now, the new feature for announcing missed calls in DND mode is in the testing phase, available only to a limited group of users, and will be enabled for all WhatsApp users in the near future.
