Vivo is now a top 5 manufacturer in the world, and the other companies in the ranking have already launched foldable devices. All except Apple, which doesn’t seem to be in a hurry. Thus, it was expected that Vivo would enter this market sooner or later. However, it seems that the moment is closer than I initially thought.

With Vivo already starting to publish promotional photos for smartphones, a launch could be imminent, at least for the Chinese market. That’s because Vivo chose to publish its first image with Vivo X Fold on its Weibo account, a very popular social network, especially in China.

According to the images, the first official information about X Fold will be presented on Monday, March 28, but we do not expect this to be the date of the official presentation.

According to current rumors, Vivo X Fold will be equipped with the Snapdragon Gen 1 chipset, with an internal screen larger than that of Samsung models, with a diagonal of 8 ”and QHD resolution at 120 Hz (no crease in the center). The battery could be relatively small for such a device, with a capacity of only 4,600 mAh. However, the low range could be counteracted with a fast charging system at 80W cable and 50W using wireless chargers.
