VIDEO After the resounding success of the House of the Dragon premiere, Amazon scores with The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power trailer

After nearly 10 million people watched HBO’s long-awaited House of the Dragon premiere, Amazon scores with The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Specifically, the streaming network is reminding fans that it too has a fantasy series coming soon.

The latest The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power trailer officially released.

Over the course of yesterday, Amazon Prime released a new trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, lest we forget the big official release of the latest Lord of the Rings-based film.

Arguably, this clip, meant to get fans’ attention, is a brief justification for the $465 million Amazon spent to produce the first season of the series in question.

The dialogues between the characters Galadriel and Elrond somewhat set the stage for the conflict in the Second Age, which is about to develop massively. What’s more, also in this clip we can see pretty much what the graphic value of the images in the upcoming The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series will look like.

Incidentally, with every scene shown in the trailer, you can see just how much money was spent on the making of this new series, here including costume design as well as CGI mastery.

The Rings of Power will borrow some elements from Tolkien’s “old world”, which ultimately serves as a bridge between what was and what will be.

As the title makes clear, the series will chronicle how the Rings of Power came to be, but will also include Sauron’s return to Middle Earth.

J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay have outlined a five-season story: let’s hope their work won’t be in vain.

The first season will debut on September 2 this year on Amazon Prime.
