Unstaking ETH: Binance will open the floodgates next Wednesday

The number 1 of the exchange of cryptos Binance will offer its users the possibility to remove from ETH stakés from the April 19.

On Thursday, Binance announced that participants in its ETH 2.0 Staking could exchange BETH against ETH on a 1:1 basis from Wednesday April 19, 2023 at 10:00 am (French time).

#Binance will support $ETH 2.0 Staking withdrawals starting from April 19, 08:00 UTC.

Due to the processing limitations on the $ETH network, ETH withdrawal requests may take up to 15 days to several weeks to be fully processed.

The announcement comes as the Ethereum blockchain has just been updated with Shanghai and now allows validators to withdraw staking ethers.

“ Due to processing limitations on the ETH network, withdrawal requests may take up to 15 days to several weeks to be fully processed,” Binance says.

At the same time, his rival Coinbase indicated that theunstaking of ethers was now possible on its platform. The requests are also subject to a waiting period determined by the protocol.

At the time of publishing this article, approximately 100,000 ETH stakedout of a total of 18 million, were withdrawn by validators, according to data provided by Nansen.
