Ubisoft announces Rainbow Six Siege X

Being one of the biggest announcements of the year to date, Ubisoft has unveiled Rainbow Six Siege X.the next evolution of the Rainbow Six seriesduring the grand finale of the Six Invitational 2025. The developer has noted that the teaser is a look at “the biggest transformation in video game history.”

According to the developer, Rainbow Six Siege X will include updates to the tactical shooter’s graphics, audio and gameplay. In addition, Ubisoft claims that Siege X will include “new ways to play,” implying that a significant overhaul of the current game will take place. Aside from the graphical and audio improvements, little is known about the other changes they have planned for Rainbow Six Siege X.

Instead of Ubisoft releasing a new installment of the Rainbow Six franchise, the release of Siege X appears to be a similar change to how Valve overhauled Counter-Strike: Global Offensive into Counter-Strike 2. The publisher will reveal more information about Siege X during a presentation event to be held at Atlanta, Georgia, on March 13, 2025. Fans will be able to attend the event in person and view it online.

Rainbow Six Siege Year 10 Details Revealed

In addition to announcing Siege X, Ubisoft has also revealed details about the first seasonal update for the video game’s tenth year. Known as Operation Prep PhaseThe update sees the arrival of Rauora as the final attacker that players will be able to select during matches. The release of a new Operator in Rainbow Six Siege opens the door for players to create new strategies based on their weaponry and skills in the game.

Year 10 Season 1 also introduces Dynamic Matchmaking, a new system designed to optimize processes based on the number of requests sent to the servers. More information about this new year’s update will be revealed during the March 13 presentation.
