There are many concerts these days that use video game soundtracks as inspiration and foundation. The PlayStation The Concert is coming to Europe soon and later in the year we can expect The Witcher in Concert to make its appearance as well, but in between these two there is actually another concert worth checking out.
Fans of the NieR series will be happy to know that NieR:PIano Concert – Journeys 12025 (yes, that’s the real name…) is coming to several European cities soon. Between April and July, the show will go to France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, the UK and Portugal. In total, there will be nine shows throughout Europe in the spring/summer and you can see the dates, cities and locations below.

It must be said that there are plans to announce additional venues and dates, as these are considered to be the “first European tour dates”. As for the concert’s credits, we are told that it was composed by Keiichi Okabe, Kuniyuki Takahashi, Keigo Hoashi and MONACA. Square Enix is attached as producer and Benyamin Nuss will perform the show, and as for the correct description, we are told:
“NieR:PIano Concert – Journeys 12025 – marks the 15th anniversary of the franchise with a special album produced and recorded in Tokyo, Japan, on the occasion of the concert tour. Performed by pianist Beynamin Nuss under the guidance of NieR and Square Enix’s musical team, this opus delivers an exceptional aural experience. It is the perfect way to celebrate one of the most iconic video game series of our time, known for its artistic vision and the globally acclaimed quality of its soundtracks.”
