The first Ibero-American Congress of Esports and Video Games arrives in Madrid

Madrid Platform, the international hub of companies between Europe and Latin America based in the Spanish capital, reinforces its multi-sectoral commitment to the entertainment industry with the creation of the I Ibero-American Congress of Esports and Video Games.to be held from September 20 to 22.

The event will be co-organized with. Esports Business Livean organization dedicated to the promotion and development of the video game and esports business in the world, and which also promotes the prestigious awards for the esports industry in Spain.

This intercontinental congress, which was born with the vocation of being a annual meeting point for all players in the Spanish-speaking video game and esports industry, will be led by Esther Ruizcreator of the movement Culture at large and Managing Partner of EMPATÍA and Emilio HurtadoCEO of Esports Business Live and Director at Auren, who join the Madrid Platform team to lead this new proposal in the entertainment industry.

Madrid Platform has established itself as the natural space for business and institutional meetings between Europe and Latin America in the Spanish capital. In its first two annual editions, it has already connected more than 1,500 companies from 70 countries and diverse sectors to explore business opportunities, improve their visibility and increase their potential for growth and international expansion. In its third edition, to be held again at the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid from September 20 to 22, Madrid Platform will launch the first monographic sector programs. Among them, one of the most relevant will be dedicated to the entertainment industry with leading esports and video game companies.

The aim of this I Ibero-American Congress of Esports and Video Games is to contribute to the development of the industry, taking advantage of the enormous visibility and expansion that Madrid Platform offers in its various business ecosystems, and to encourage debate between the. stakeholders of the ecosystem, promote the dissemination, knowledge and business experience of the sector, a reference for many others.

The agenda of the congress will feature the. participation of the LVP (Professional Video Game League), AEVI (Spanish Association of Video Games), Marca Gaming, GGTech, National Police. with their C1b3rWall project and L3tcraft among many other agents of the national industry.

Both the I Ibero-American Congress of Esports and Video Games. like Madrid Platform have significant institutional support. In addition to the Madrid City Council, as the main promoter, the Community of Madrid and the Spanish Government collaborate with the Ministry of Industry, through its business promotion agencies, as well as the Ministry of Economy and Digital Transformation, Foreign Affairs and Culture and Sport.

Practically all the Chambers of Commerce, professional associations and business promotion agencies throughout Europe and Latin America have joined this initiative, as well as the main multilateral institutions such as the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI), the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), the Ibero-American Business Council (CEIB) and the Ibero-American Young Entrepreneurs Foundation (FIJE), and a multitude of public and private companies.
