The costumes worn by extras in Sinners were originally designed for Marvel’s Blade

Here’s an interesting way of recycling: while Marvel keeps flopping around like a splash Magikarp, unable to do anything with the Blade film, it seems that other production teams are using the products left behind by the silent film.

In particular, it was revealed that the production team of Sinners was able to use some costumes left behind by the Blade team. One of the producers of Sinners, Sev Ohanian, revealed in an interview with ScreenCrush that Blade was originally supposed to take place in the past. As we know, the film has since been played with and is now in limbo, leading to the costumes being sold to the Sinners production team for extras.

So one vampire movie managed to make the most of the costumes left behind by another. With Sinners proving that vampires can still be incredibly popular, maybe Marvel can keep working on its Blade movie with Mahershala Ali. We wonder if it will try to buy back its used costumes from the Sinners team. Probably not, since most of those costumes must be covered in fake blood by now.
