The best wet and dry vacuum cleaner 2025: our big comparison of two vacuum cleaners from Dreame and Tineco.
If household chores were like tennis, then this comparison would be equivalent to the recent French Open final between Alcaraz and Sinner. Top performances from world ranking 1 and world ranking 2 and an exciting crime thriller until the end.
Before the tennis match, I neither knew how exciting this sport could be nor would I have ever thought it possible a comparison of two “vacuum cleaners” can be so much fun! The two best wet and dry vacuum cleaners on the market want to transform work in the household with modern equipment and a lot of innovations Our big everyday comparison should now show which one is better.

1. Vorstellung: Tineco Floor One S9 Artist & Dreame H15 Pro Heat
“How much technology can be in a vacuum cleaner?” – “YES!”
That’s probably what the engineers at Tineco and Dreame thought, because “vacuum cleaner” is an absolute understatement for such high-tech devices. They are officially referred to as vacuum mops or wet-dry vacuum cleaners because they clean floors with rotating wiping rollers and even suck up the dirty mopping water.
You won’t find more features and functions in any other wet/dry vacuum cleaner in 2025. Both the Dreame H15 Pro Heat and the Tineco Floor One S9 Artist look set to become the new benchmark in this product category:
2. Comparison of design, feel, furnishings & app
Both devices don’t have much in common when it comes to design. There are things I like better about the Dreame, like the much nicer display. On the other hand, the handle of the Tineco is made of aluminum and the buttons on the handle are easier to reach – but they are very spongy. While the light gray plastic elements on the Dreame put a damper on the otherwise high-quality overall impression, I find the silver-blue front on the Tineco a bit daring.
The respective apps also have far more similarities than differences. Setting up both devices, including the first software updates, worked quickly and smoothly, but I expect the same to happen in 2025. By the way, both apps require registration, which I find a bit annoying for a household product.
The Tineco wet and dry vacuum cleaner app is very modern and clearly designed.
Since I only used both apps for the bare essentials, I don’t want to award a point for them. But I still noticed one thing: The Dreame app offers a few more setting options and has a slightly nicer design, but the amount of water and moisture when mopping can only be adjusted in two levels – normal or with a lot of water. For me as a parquet lover, this is a real limitation! Tineco offers a much finer gradation in this discipline with a particularly dry and parquet-friendly “moist mist” setting.
Purely subjective and precise, the H15 Pro Heat gets the point for design and feel. 1-0 for Dreame.
3. Operation, functions & the biggest differences
The four basic functions on the Dreame H15 Pro Heat are “Smart”, “Hot Water”, “Turbo” and “Individual” – the latter can be configured in the app. It looks very similar with the Tineco S9. It offers an automatic, suction and turbo mode called “Max” and this is where the biggest difference between the two flagship cleaners is noticeable: only the Dreame can mop floors with hot water. We’ll find out whether that makes a difference and, if so, what it is by comparing the performance of the two opponents.
Other big differences: Tineco does not install the fresh water tank in the handle for better weight distribution, but at the bottom of the “head” of the device Dreame wants to use the GapFree robot arm to pull dust and dirt out of every corner. The latter extends a rubber lip every time the H15 Pro Heat is pulled back.

The term “robot arm” is a bit grandiose, but the active rubber lip on the Dreame H15 Pro Heat is still extremely practical.
Both wet and dry vacuum cleaners also boast their data sheets and it’s now time to find out what’s really behind 22,000 Pascal suction power, 85°C hot mopping water, AI dirt detection and the like. It starts on page 2!
