Thai group KBank launches $100M AI and Web3 fund

Kasikornbanka great banking group based in Thailandwill invest 100 million dollars in fintechs and startups specialized inAI and the Web3.

Kasikornbank (KBank)formerly known as Thai Farmers Bank, has launched a investment fund with 100 million dollars and focused artificial intelligencefintech and Web3reported Wednesday Dealstreetasia.

Baptized KXVC and created by the bank’s innovation branch, Kasikorn Xthe fund aims to capitalize on the booming digital economy of the APAC region. He will invest in companies based, or wishing to develop, in Asia-Pacific.

KXVC will be a springboard for the global founders to boost their business expansion in the APAC region with strong synergy with Kbank and our partners,” said Krating Poonpol, president of Kasikorn Technology Business, which runs the fund.

On the Web3The fund will focus its investments on blockchain infrastructure, wallets, middleware, ZKP technology and alternative L1/L2. KXVC already supports several blockchain projects, including startup Forward.
