Studio Wildcard’s Ark: Survival Ascended is facing another delay on the Xbox Series X/S. Originally intended to launch on Nov. 14, it was delayed due to the ongoing certification process. Although it was supposed to launch later in the week, it is now targeting early this week.
The latest delay is due to “unexpected issues” in the certification process, with the developer working with Microsoft to “resubmit the build as soon as possible.” It had planned to share a more “precise update” by the end of last week, which is still pending. Nevertheless, it is “working hard to get it out the door.”
As for the PS5 version, Studio Wildcard assures that it is “iterating directly” with its partners and Sony, so it is still on track for launch in late November. It will share a more precise launch window as the developer makes “more meaningful progress.”
Ark: Survival Ascended is now available for PC via Steam Early Access. It was planned as a free upgrade to Ark: Survival Evolved but became a standalone release. Developed on Unreal Engine 5.2, it offers stunning visuals, updated physics and several quality improvements, although technical performance needs improvement.
