Treat yourself to the PSVR2 for Christmas and banish any hint of holiday boredom – the VR glasses are sensationally cheap now on Black Friday.
Now is a very good time to give this virtual reality a chance! At Amazon, VR glasses are cheaper than they have been for a long time.
A great headset that can be used on both the Playstation 5 and the PC is the Playstation VR2 from Sony and it is particularly inexpensive at the moment. With an optional adapter, you can also play the entire SteamVR library in addition to the countless PS5 VR games.
Strike: Amazon is selling the PSVR2 for a ridiculous price
Beat Saber is fascinating: the game has been on the market for ages and has often topped the sales charts ever since. Countless plagiarisms, including a few very good ones, have now come onto the market and disappeared again, Beat Saber remains.

Beat Saber – E3 trailer for the lightsaber rhythm game for PlayStation VR – “Laser Sword Techno” officially confirmed for PlayStation VR
And that’s no wonder, just as it’s not surprising that I told you as the first VR game: Beat Saber has a flow that you will rarely experience. It’s easy to learn but difficult to masterperfect for dogged kneeling. Or for relaxed evenings with your favorite song.
Swing your sword to the beat, turn your brain off: If you play at a level of difficulty that’s perfect for you, you’ll quickly find yourself in a state that games don’t otherwise create. The perfect flow, the arms react almost automatically to the visual signals, the mix with the music ensures that the head finally switches off completely.
Personally, a quarter of an hour of Beat Saber (but also Synth Riders or Pistol Whip) always helps me very reliably to reset my head.
Even though the makers of Beat Saber have now been bought by Meta and there will be no further updates and music packages for the game on PSVR2: you can still buy and play it and it’s a lot of fun.
Your chance for exciting holidays with the PSVR2
VR isn’t just Beat Saber or Half-Life: Alyx
Even though I’ve filled an entire paragraph with a eulogy for Beat Saber, there are still so many more VR games that are worth discovering. Interestingly, these aren’t even necessarily Sony’s own productions.
Recently published with Demeo x Dungeon&Dragon: Battlemarked another very fascinating game. Like its predecessor Demeo, you can play tabletop role-playing games here either alone or with friends.

I’ve already sunk far too many hours into Demeo, much more than many AAA titles without VR support. And it was worth it!
The dice are rolled and placed on a turn-based basis like in Hero Quest and co – or like a good game of D&D at the living room table at home. As in the D&D model, your character can be leveled up by collecting a deck of cards with attacks and spells in order to defeat even fat dragons.
A good round of Demeo can certainly compete with a round of P&P – Multiplayer works better in VR if your friends don’t live around the corner.

And Demeo is not the only game that I would like to recommend to you as a VR fan. You probably already know Half-Life: Alyx, but how about the magically sweet Moss?
Of course you can also stay in the next few months No Man’s Sky sink, which benefits greatly from VR. Or the Ancient Dungeon, which is reminiscent of Ultima Underworld. Or… oh, you’ll figure out the rest yourself.
