The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 will be the equivalent of the Surface or MackBook Pro laptops, delivered in a slim form factor case and weighing just 1.8kg.
According to details provided by SnoopyTech, a source of rumors on unreleased Samsung products, the Galaxy Book 3 uses an X86 platform with an Intel Core 13th Gen processor and GeForce RTX 4070 graphics acceleration. Specifically, it’s the latest Intel Core 13-th Gen processor (Core i5/i7, depending on the selected trim), helped with 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD with PCIe 4.0 NVMe interface. The list of features would continue with two USB-C ports (Thunderbolt 4 compatible), full-size HDMI outputs, two full-size USB 3.2 connectors, microSD slot and 3.5mm headphone and microphone jacks.
Samsung will ship the Galaxy Book 3 with battery supporting fast charging at up to 65W power using the USB-C adapter included in the accessory pack. The new laptop comes with Windows 11 pre-installed. The list of features is completed with a quad-speaker, Dolby Atmos-certified speaker system.
The full Galaxy Book family looks set to include several devices with different features: the Galaxy Book 3 360, Galaxy Book 3 Pro, Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 and Galaxy Book 3 Ultra.
Although based on Windows 11, the new handsets are expected to offer compatibility with the S Pen accessory.
