French car manufacturer, Alpine, has announced that it has completed a new round of investment in its Racing division. As noted in a press release, the funding round has seen an investor group come to the team and pledge €200 million, with this investor group consisting of investment firms and Hollywood A-listers.
The investor group includes firms such as Otro Capital, RedBird Capital Partners and Maximum Effort Investments, with the latter being led by Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Alpine will use the expertise of Reynold’s company to further grow and build its brand, something the actor and his team have plenty of experience with following previous investments with Wrexham AFC, Mint Mobile, Aviation Gin and more.
The investment round, equivalent to a 24% equity stake in the team, will be used to support and grow Alpine’s strategy and sporting ambitions in Formula 1. This investment round is also now valued Alpine Racing at approximately €900 million.
