The subsidiary CACEIS from Crédit Agricole obtained a registration as digital asset service provider (DASP) registered with the AMF.
This week, the French Autorité des marchés financiers distributed several recordings PSAN.
New beneficiaries of the status include CACEISthe banking group’s specialist post-trade subsidiary Crédit Agricole.
Last year, CACEIS announced a partnership with Taurus to offer services focused on the digital assets to its institutional customers.
“In the continuity of its core business services, CACEIS wants to gradually extend its offering to the entire class of digital assets to support its customers on blockchain technology,” said Arnaud Misset, CACEIS CDO, at the time.
On theAMFthe French bank’s subsidiary has been registered under the “Digital assets custody” label, i.e. to provide custody services.
In France, few banking establishments currently hold a PSAN registration. Banque Delubac & Cie was the first to obtain the sesame in 2022.
The other companies to receive AMF approval on Tuesday are: Kamea Labs, Paytop, DeBlock and Palissade Financial.
Latest, Crédit Agricole CIB and SEB have launched a blockchain-based platform for digital bonds. This takes up the proof-of-work competition principle, but competes on the basis of environmental footprint.
