We would have expected to see an announcement for the Oppo Find X6, the Chinese manufacturer’s flagship series, by now, but the company doesn’t seem to be in a hurry. We already know from various leaks what the models in this range are supposed to offer, but we don’t have much information about the design of the phones. A series of spy photos of what appears to be an Oppo Find X6 has been published on Weibo, China’s social media network, providing the first details about the phones’ design.
Find X6 will have a huge camera module
The Oppo Find X6 could be very different from last year’s X5 Pro in terms of design. On one hand, the camera module subtly protruded using very elegantly curved glass will most likely be replaced with a more “traditional” one. However, the camera seems to be much more impotent on this model than last year’s. That’s because a large, square-shaped camera module, covered entirely in glass, protrudes from the back and takes up pretty much the entire top of the device,
It appears to measure about 1/3 the size of the back cover. Most likely, the large space is needed to accommodate a 1″ sensor and the lens it needs to provide high performance.
Then we can also see from these images that Oppo is not giving up curved edges for its flaghsip. The Oppo Find X6 is equipped with an OLED screen with edges that extend on the side.
Specifications leaked online suggest that the Find X6 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, while the standard Find X6 will use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The cameras will be similar between models though: 50 megapixels on 1″ sensor with f/1.8 lens and OIS on the main camera, 50 megapixels ultrawide and 50 megapixels for the zoom camera.
